We made a trip to Round Top, TX and experienced Texas Antique Week this spring. It was our second visit and I was just as giddy and overwhelmed as the first. Antique Week is the biggest antique show that I've ever seen. I love every single bit of it. I made sure to go with a small list of look-fors. The most important item on the list was a typewriter for my daughter. She has been on the hunt ever since playing with one at the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. I was hoping to find one in working condition, with no need for a new ribbon or anything. I was also thinking that was impossible. However, I now believe that anything is possible at Antique Week just due to the size. We found a beautiful little typewriter that worked like a charm. We brought it home and have begun to write one-liners to each other through out the day. It makes us happy. Speaking of happy, I'm still working on the old sketchbook project and really enjoying it. Here is the latest drawing. Those folks seem to be in a happy place, too.
